Android Developer Intern
Job Description
We offer a wonderful opportunity for a proactive and skilled mobile developer intern with strong technical foundation and experience in building native Android applications.
You will get to work with our exciting mobile application projects and use your developer skills in several areas across the end-to-end development process. We offer you a great environment to learn, challenge yourself, and work on cutting edge technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a small team and participate building high-quality mobile applications for Android using Java and Kotlin
- Work with REST APIs to connect back-end and 3rd party services to the applications
- Ensure excellent code quality
- Support the team with testing, troubleshooting and optimizing the apps to make sure they run smoothly on mobile platform
Requirements
- Studying/graduated in computer science, engineering, mathematics or another relevant field (preferably Batchelor’s or similar degree)
- Strong technical foundation and hands-on experience in building native Android applications using Java and Kotlin
- Proficient in Android SDK and Android Studio
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Ability to write well-documented, clean code
- Familiar with iOS and/or Android SDKs, Frameworks and best practices for mobile development
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a small team and independently
- Entrepreneurial and experimental mindset
- Positive can-do attitude and teamwork spirit
- Innate curiosity and passion to learn and develop your skills continuously
- Fast learner
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of full-stack development and cross-platform development
- Experience in full project life cycle software development
- Knowledge in best practices in UI/UX design
- Knowledge of agile principles and practices
